Data protection and data processing 

Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, particularly when processing personal data. The data we collect from those who visit our webpage is handled according to relevant rules and regulations, namely the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive.  Our data privacy statement does not extend to the websites of other providers, whose links are contained within our webpages. 

  

What is personal data? 

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, according to Article 4(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation. A link must be able to be made between information that has been collected and a specific person, directly or indirectly. Examples include: name, address, telephone number, or email address. 

  

Preparation of usage data for web statistics 

We use statistical data regarding usage and the collection of various technical details available to us through Wix to help us understand how our website is used (number of visitors, duration of visit, etc). We use information provided through our contact form and mailing list to respond to users and provide the services described.

Personalised services (e. g. newsletter) 

If you have subscribed to our mailing list, the data required and entered by you will be managed and stored by the party responsible for the website (see Imprint). It will be used to provide the service described and generally does not include more than your first and last name and your email address. Should you unsubscribe, your information will be deleted.  
To unsubscribe, send a brief message via email (hello@socialfinancelab.eu) or the contact form on the website stating your desire to unsubscribe. 

  

Contact form 

Your information may be shared with partner institutions insofar as it is necessary to respond to your request for information. 

  

Embedding of social media 

We do not use social media plug-ins from external providers.  

  

Right to request information 

You may request information regarding personal information of yours that we may have stored, including how we collected the data and our purpose for storing it. We will respond in accordance with applicable law to inform you whether we have information about you stored, and if so, which information. If you have questions regarding your data privacy and our website, please feel free to contact our legal representative (see Imprint). 

  

Security 

We protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction and unauthorized access through the use of secure online applications, limited access, and additional security features such as passwords. 

Despite the measures taken by the website host, Wix, and the project consortium, we cannot guarantee absolute protection and security of your personal information or any other information provided by you and recommend that you avoid sharing sensitive information on our website. 

  

Data transfer 

Unless legally required, your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for any purpose. 

  

Explanation of data collection 

When you visit or access our webpage, Wix authorizes third parties to use web beacons, cookies, pixel tags, scripts, and other technologies and analytics services ("tracking technologies"). These tracking technologies can enable third parties to automatically collect your data to improve the use of our webpage, optimize its performance and ensure a tailored user experience, as well as for security and fraud prevention purposes.

We use website traffic information provided by Wix for statistical data collection. These statistics are summarized and contain no personal information.

We store data provided by you through the use of our contact form or through subscription to our mailing list.

Wix companies, as well as their partners and service providers, are located around the world. For the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, we store and process all non-personal information we collect in different jurisdictions. 
 

Personal data may be maintained, processed and stored in other jurisdictions in the United States, Ireland, South Korea, Taiwan, Israel and to the extent required by law in other jurisdictions. 
 

Data collected via the contact form 

The data you provide via the contact form (first and last name, email address, and any information included in the text of the message) will be stored. 

 

Data collected by the server statistics 

Visiting our website doesn't require you to share any personal information. However, with every visit to our website, data will be collected by Wix, including: your location, the length of your stay on the website, your activities on the website, what type of tool you are using (e.g., tablet, computer, etc), etc. We, the project consortium, can view the following statistics in a dashboard provided within the Wix platform: the total time that visitors have spent on our website, unique users, the average length of stay, traffic over time, most referenced websites, visitor retention (first-time users versus return-users), and website traffic based on location. No personal data is provided as part of these statistics. This information helps us understand how users find our website and expand our reach.  

  

Cookies 

Essential cookies are a part of the Wix platform. A banner appears at the start of your website visit providing you the opportunity to accept or deny the use of essential cookies. Denying the use of cookies may inhibit your ability to access our website. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express permission. Your rights 

Beyond statistical data automatically collected by Wix with each visit to our website, you are not required to provide any addition information to us. You may choose to provide data through the use of our contact form or by subscribing to our mailing list. You may request to know what data has been collected from you or that you have provided to us. You may object in writing to future use of your personal data. You may ask us in writing or via the contact form to dispose of all personal data we may have collected from you or that you have provided. Please note that certain data cannot be deleted due to other legal obligations.  

You may direct any objections or questions to our legal representative. 

 

Minors 

We have no age restrictions on the use of our website. Parents may view information we may have collected from their child, prohibit us from collecting any other information about your child, and require that all information we collect be deleted from our records. 

 

Data Protection Representative 

This policy is subject to change. The consortium is collectively responsible for the protection of your data. Please contact the legal representative with questions.
